Cricket has always been played with
a hard, solid ball which consists of cork covered by leather. There are lots of
risks associated with such balls.
So, when cricket is played as a recreational sport, the
tendency is to play it with Tennis Ball Cricket which usually comes in White or
Yellow colour and there are no risks associated with it while playing.
So, the whole idea to play with tennis ball is to avoid
injuries to the players.

are shorter as compared to the games which are played at the International or domestic levels which comprises of 50 over’s or 5 day test matches. The over’s in Tennis
ball game are usually 10 over’s for each side.

In Mumbai and other major cities of India, Pakistan and
Bangladesh, it is usually played on the streets and roads or on agricultural
fields. When it comes to Middle Eastern countries, it is usually played in the
open desert.

such too so anyone can be part of it.

One such Tennis Ball Cricket tournament is going to take
place where International teams from India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait,
Bahrain and other countries are going to take part.
The tournament will be staged under the aegis of the Sharjah
Cricket Council, under the leadership of Waleed Bukhatir at the Sharjah Stadium
starting 2nd April 2019.
In total, there will be 20 teams which will be taking part
in this prestigious tournament which has total prize money of 250,000 Dirhams and is
considered to be one of the richest tennis ball cricket tournaments in the
world.
The tournament is the brainchild of UAE-based Petromann
Events to manage, operate and market the Tennis Ball cricket.
Former Pakistan paceman and Captain Wasim Akram and former
India star Virender Sehwag have been the brand ambassadors for the tournament.
